College athletics can serve as a campus laboratory for character development

Too often, college athletics is highlighted in the news media for mammoth athletic staff salaries, questionable recruiting practices, and the disheartening behavior of some players and staff. But, at Marian University, and other NAIA schools under the banner of "Champions of Character," we consistently achieve outstanding results for our scholar-athletes by engaging our athletics department as a laboratory of character development and academic success.

Hartford City, IN—The Crossroads League Men's Basketball Player of the Week award winner has been released for competitions during the week of December 7th through December 13th. Players are selected for this award by their performances and contributions during the week of competition.

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The No. 16 Forester women's basketball team (9-2) was off to the races Saturday afternoon on their way to a 124-106 win over #RV Olivet Nazarene University (9-4) at Platt Arena. It was non-stop kamikaze play from start to finish as players, coaches and fans alike were exhausted by the final buzzer.
