Final Regular Season Player of the Week Honors Posted for Basketball

The Crossroads League Player of the Week Award winners have been released for the week of February 17, 2013. Player of the Week winners are recognized for their outstanding contributions and performances in recent competitions. The League is proud to recognize this week's winners of the Crossroads League Player of the Week. Please join us in recognizing these student-athletes on their recent success!


Following a wild week of play to wrap up both men's and women's basketball for the 2012-13 regular season Rob Hogans, and Kayla Drake have been named the Crossroads League Player of the week for men's and women's basketball. Hogans, a junior at Spring Arbor, helped lead the Cougars to two league victories and tallied 49 points for the week. Spring Arbor ends the regular season on a 8 game winning streak, finishing the year with a 11-7 league record. Kayla Drake, playing in her senior season for Saint Francis, notched an impressive 53 points, 13 rebounds over the past week. Drake's contribution helped the cougars to victory in their final regular season games of 2012-13.

In the final week for indoor track and field awards Nathan Martin, of Spring Arbor, repeats as the Crossroads League Indoor Track Player of the Week. Martin claimed two 1st place individual finishes in the NCCAA National Championships held over the weekend.
