Hartford City, IN—The 2013 Crossroads League Volleyball Tournament pairings have been released by the league office today. The tournament will begin Tuesday, November 5th. The tournament is single elimination and all games will be hosted by the higher seeded team. The tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament.
Bethel and Indiana Wesleyan tied for the regular season league championship with a record of 16-2. Bethel will serve as the #1 seed as they defeated IWU head-to-head 2-0 in the regular season.
Taylor will serve as the #3 seed and Marian rounds out the top four and will serve as the #4 seed.
Grace and Saint Francis both tied for 5th place. They split their two matches head-to-head 1-1. The tie breaker went to games won. Grace won 5 sets versus Saint Francis and Saint Francis won 3 sets against Grace. Therefore Grace will serve as the #5 seed and Saint Francis the #6 seed.
Mount Vernon Nazarene will be the #7 seed. Goshen and Huntington tied for 8th place. They split their two matches head-to-head 1-1. Goshen won 5 sets against HU and HU won 4 sets against Goshen. Therefore, by tie breaker procedure, Goshen will serve as the #8 seed.
