INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its athletes of the week on Monday, recognizing the top student-athletes from the week of April 3 through April 9. In order to be considered for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by their institution's Sports Information Director.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Tanner Wyse, Huntington (View Nomination)
Wyse tossed a two-hit shutout to help RV Huntington score a 10-0 rout of Bethel on Saturday. Wyse fanned eight in the contest and walked only two.
Baseball Player of the Week
Jordan Jackson, Marian (View Nomination)
Jackson clubbed four homers as Marian won all four of its games on the week. Jackson hit .417 with six runs, one double and 11 RBI to go along with the four long balls.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Breena Smith, Marian (View Nomination)
Smith fired a no-hitter in No. 4 Marian's 3-0 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene, while striking out eight batters. Smith closed the week with two wins and 10 scoreless frames.
Softball Player of the Week
Ashley Kleinbub, Grace (View Nomination)
Kleinbub hit safely in each of Grace's six contests, ending with a .429 batting average, six runs scored, seven runs batted in and two steals for the Lancers.
Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Salvador Lo Cascio, Taylor (View Nomination)
Lo Cascio secured wins at No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles to help Taylor seal a 5-4 victory against Huntington in its lone outing of the week.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Alex Mella, Indiana Wesleyan (View Nomination)
Mella went 4-0 against No. 14 Davenport and No. 18 Campbellsville, leading her No. 11-ranked IWU squad to team wins with the victories at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
Men's Golf Player of the Week
Broden Chapman, Marian (View Nomination)
Chapman finished the Marian Invite in third-of-55 individuals with a one-over, 36-hole total of 143 on the 6,664-yard, par-71 course. Chapman helped RV Marian end third as a team.
Women's Golf Player of the Week
Marissa Singer, Saint Francis (View Nomination)
Singer won the Saint Francis Invitational with a 36-hole score of 148, after firing a one-under round of 71 with three birdies on the final 18 holes to help USF take fifth-of-11 overall.
Men's Outdoor T/F Field Athlete of the Week
Brennan Coil, Indiana Wesleyan (View Nomination)
Coil hit a pair of NAIA standards over the weekend, reaching the A mark with a distance of 16.08 in the shot and the B mark with a throw of 48.23 in the discus, ending second in each.

AJ Gruttadauro, Spring Arbor (View Nomination)
Gruttadauro recorded the best 5,000-meter race walk time in the NAIA this year, crossing at 22:05.07 to win the event at the Cumberland Invitational with the NAIA A standard time.
Women's Outdoor T/F Field Athlete of the Week
Danielle Wojciechowski, Bethel (View Nomination)
Wojciechowski cleared 3.95 meters to win the pole vault at TU's George Glass Invitational. Wojciechowski matched her own school record and logged the best mark in the NAIA this year.
