MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Bethel College Athletic Director Tom Visker has announced the resignation of Sports Information Director, Natalie Young.

Young, unarguably the greatest women's basketball player in the history of the women's basketball program, began her stint as Sports Information Director in the fall of 2012.  Under Natalie's direction, Bethel's sports information department rose to unprecedented heights, particularly in the ever-expanding world of social media and flash/info. graphics.  She also was instrumental in the expansion and development of Bethel's athletic internship program, the Bethel athletic record book, the new Pilot athletic logos and the Hall of Fame committee.

Natalie was also a member of the Lady Pilot's coaching staff for 5 years, which included four 20+ win seasons, an NCCAA National Title and 3 trips to the NAIA National Tournament.

"It has been a honor to cover and promote the student-athletes at Bethel the last five years," said Natalie. "Bethel is truly a special place and having spent the better part of the past 13 years plugged into the BC family, it will not be an easy transition for me to not call Bethel and Mishawaka my home. However, I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to reconnect with BC alum, Coach Jody Martinez in the next chapter of my life," added Natalie.

"Natalie has been a great member of our staff.  She was highly valued as a member of the women's basketball coaching staff and served us well as our Sports Information Director," said Bethel Athletic Director Tom Visker. "She oversaw the development of our athletic website and guided us through the ever changing world of social media in athletics.  She will be missed and we wish her God's blessings in her new role at Taylor University."

Natalie will be joining the coaching staff of the Taylor University women's basketball team, reuniting her with her former coach and new Head Women's Basketball coach, Jody Martinez. An announcement on Natalie's replacement as the Sports Information Director at Bethel College will be made in the days to come.
