No. 16 MVNU Sweeps No. 23 Spring Arbor
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The No. 16 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (15-5, 6-2 CL) hosted No. 23 Spring Arbor University (15-5, 3-5 CL) in Ariel Arena on Saturday, September 27.
MVNU swept Spring Arbor, making it the fifth consecutive match that MVNU has swept this season. MVNU sent a message early, winning set one by a commanding score of 25-10. MVNU kept its foot on the gas in set two, winning by a final of 25-13. The Lady Cougars of SAU proved to be a little more of a challenge in the third set, buy ultimately MVNU prevailed by a score of 25-23 to secure the sweep and its 15th win of the season.
Evelyn Brown led MVNU with 15 kills and a .750 hitting percentage. Brown also had two blocks. Faith Maloney had eight kills while hitting .412, and Libby Evanshine added six kills of her own. Reagan Nuss led the way with 33 assists, three digs, two kills, and a service ace. Jaelyn Tang tied for a match-high 10 digs.

MVNU hosts the University of Saint Francis on Wednesday, October 1 in Ariel Arena. First serve will be at 7:00 p.m.
