Luttrell Earns NAIA's Top Offensive Honor for the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a sterling performance last week, Taylor University forward Eliza Luttrell continues to earn recognition, becoming the first women's soccer player in TU program history to capture National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Luttrell, a junior from Naperville, Ill., scored 12 points for RV Taylor in lopsided wins over St. Mary of the Woods and Cornerstone. She had two goals and two helpers in an 8-0 win at SMW, before logging a hat trick on just three shots in a 9-1 win over Cornerstone.
Yesterday, Luttrell became the third Trojan player to receive Crossroads League weekly honors this season and the first to be named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
TU closes out non-conference action on Wednesday at No. 7 Aquinas, before conference play begins next week.
