Crossroads League Announces Volleyball Award Winners

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its 2023 Volleyball All-League honors on Tuesday, just days after No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan completed a sweep of the regular season and tournament championships.

Indiana Wesleyan's Candace Moats and Dan Bergren were named the Crossroads League Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year, while IWU's Eva Joldersma was voted the CL Player of the Year and Abbigail Porter was named the CL Setter of the Year.

Marian and Bethel claimed the remaining top honors, with MU's Emma Lyons taking home CL Libero-of-the-Year accolades and BU's Haley Biedenbach earning recognition as the CL Freshman of the Year.

In addition to those major honors, 14 student-athletes were named as Crossroads League First-Team selections, 14 more were given CL Second-Team honors and 22 others took home Crossroads League Honorable Mention recognition. A total of six student-athletes were also chosen as CL All-Freshmen selections.

The All-Crossroads League awards were voted on by the CL's head volleyball coaches.
